One of Moscow’s best-known pedestrian streets, where historic buildings sit alongside theatres, cafés, souvenir shops and everyday street life. Arbat is less about a single landmark than about the walk itself and the side lanes that reveal a quieter, more residential side of the city centre.

Do not stay only on the central pedestrian strip: explore the neighbouring lanes and continue towards Smolenskaya Square or Gogolevsky Boulevard. Arbat works particularly well as a relaxed section between museums and evening plans.
